I suppose the seeds will be edible seeing as I grew it from a packet of edible ones from the health shop.  I am going to plant a lot more next year, it's probably a bit late now, starting to get quite cool mornings and nights. Thanks for the information regarding the real seeds I am just going to have a look now. x

I think they're online only Jeanette. Hover over the words 'real seeds' on my previous post to link through to their site. That sunflower looks great! Quite unusual. Did you get edible seeds from it?

Can I buy them online or at ordinary nurseries? as I havn't seen them.  This is a photo of my sunflower i grew from the seeds I bought to go in my muesli.

Jeanette - last year I found a fantastic seed supplier with lovingly collected organic seed which germinates quicker and more reliably than any I've tried before. They're called 'real seeds' and this year I've bought as much of my veggie seeds from them as I can.

Seeds that do not germinate are a problem for me at the moment, can anyone tell me if there is a good foolproof seed I can buy.  I am running out of patience.
